I need your help! I’ve finished the top of the quilt. Don’t look close! I know their are many many flaws. I prefer to think of this quilt as I’m a new 10 yr old learning to quilt for the first time and this blanket will be a daily use one that won’t last 100 yrs but will be functional and warm. My question to you. Navy or green for the back and border? X

This year is our 20 year anniversary. 20 yrs of making meals. Sometimes I get a bee in my bonnet like today and cook up a storm. Other days a pre cooked chicken, buns and coleslaw from the grocery are all I can come up with. What are your “mom’s on strike” go to meals?

Do I have to leave these warm covers? A day that started out hard and didn’t get easier. Hard days are still days. X

Technically took this photo yesterday. I was cold all day today and couldn’t get motivated to take a photo. Tomorrow is another day. Xx

We did 36 dates of my aim for a 52 week year project last year. The plan was to celebrate the accomplishment with this big date compliments of my amazing cousins Amy and Geoff!! Tickets to see Phantom of the Opera and dinner.

I am not a quilter! But somehow about 15 yrs ago I thought I could. I collected fabric with plans to tackle making one. Thought maybe 2020 I should finish some of these projects I’ve dragged around with me.

Enclosed by the winter white
A single loved and precious sight
On the wind her whispers ride
and on the wind the hymn does glide

Hard day sent oldest back to school. Wishing I could keep her safe under my roof but remembering how fun this time of her life is for her. Also remembering how damn cute they were when they were two!

The fog is an illusion—
A master of disguise,
Which hides the tangible
Before our very eyes....
