Movie Time

Yes should be enjoying the summer out on the water.   We were having a lazy day so went to see Brave.  

Sunsets

The one thing about living around mountains that I have troubles with is that you have to plan for a sunset.   I miss the flat landscapes.   Where you can see a sunset coming for miles and hours and you can just drive till it hits you.   Mountains hide and shadows come across.   I miss a lot getting stuck with the kids stuff and when I do look out the window I've missed the opportunity.

Bug Hunting

Deja vu

I am having a deja vu moment.   I think I took this very similar photo last year at this time.   Again after having come home from Guelph.   Peas overflowing in the garden,   and lovely pink hydrangeas in my garden.    Though this year I have three times as many blooms as last year.   Don't mind deja vu ing this again.    

Blonde Goddess

Mom still blonde and the wheat field colour makes it look blonder.   Caught this of her as she was stuffing some bags for the cats to sleep on in the winter.

Out in the sweet corn field with grandad seeing if Aunt Amy and Uncle Channing can start up the corn season on Thursday.  

Sunflare, 30 degrees and Summer Memories

Don't panic the pitch fork came out as well as hands to put the straw back in a row so they could bale the next day.    Wheat fields are a humming with the sounds of combines, tractors, and balers.  

Don't sit on the Wheat!!!!

There was a narrow track that the sprayer had made in the wheat field when dad had sprayed.   All week they were told not to go into the field and here's mom trying to get them to pose in this narrow spot that no wheat was growing.   So they were giggling because I was telling them not to put their bums out to far and hit the wheat!!

Climbing Trees on the Grande River

Went down to the Grande River one afternoon.   Down by a single Mennonite traveled bridge.   Kids explored and I remembered my youth swimming in creeks.  

Red Lake Reunion

Carolyn Spicer was down in the Guelph area visiting her family.   So we got a chance to hook up.

Evening Golden Light

Combines start your engines

So dry and hot in Guelph Ontario right now that wheat is two weeks early.    So the combines have been out full force down my parents road.   I have finally got my goal photo for the year.   To get some combining photos this year.    So with the help of my dad we were harvest chasing.

Laundry Monday's

Mondays were always laundry at the farm.   Still is around the Guelph area,   all the lines were waving Monday morning.   I joined in as the underwear situation was getting scarey. 

African Lions Park

My BF Lori's husband had a work BBQ at the African's Lion Park near Guelph.    So we got invited to attend as well.   Great day.   I forgot my camera and the camera on my phone sucks.    Then we went out for more high school reunion catch up at a party at a old neighbours.   Great weekend

Lunch Table High School Reunion

This year all the girls I went to high school together with turn 40.   Somehow we all realized we were going to be in the Guelph area for July.   So with some organizing skills from my BF Lori we all got together for an evening of laughing and catching up until the wee hours of the morning.
