I seem to get more traffic if my husband is in the photos?! Hmmm guess we know who’s the favourite in this relationship!

Australian environmental fires, Iran shoots down plane, civil wars in countries, me too movement, equality for women, violence to women, mass shootings, military crashes, world pandemic, and black lives matter. All of this has happened and much more in the last 6 months. So much death and grief. Social media can be an amazing tool but this rapid changing news and causes! What happens if you are still two steps behind? Do we vilify people that are still giving their time, energy and money to the last cause and haven’t caught up? One person can’t help all of these causes all at the same time. But social media sure makes you feel like you should.

So this is white privilege:
Getting you hair curled by your daughter that is bored and safe from peaceful protests that are being attacked and covid 19. Feeling guilty because doing a 365 day photo challenge and not posting makes me anxious. Afraid to post frivolous stuff that isn’t as important as what is going on in the world atm.

20th Wedding Anniversary. My mom and grandmother got married at this church built in 1876. I didn’t but thought it would fun to take this photo here.

Okay I guess I can't have this year without one face mask post to document what it's like outside my yard!  Last big grocery haul was May 1st.   So it was time!  We had a leek, one egg, 3 apples and some bok choy left.  Could have done a risotto and an apple cobbler but the noses in the house may have wrinkled up.

Yesterday was a day where we all should have done a before covid 19 day. School, work, friends then dinner at the end of the day. Instead we fought, cried and did dishes loudly. Day 137 is a new day. Xx

I missed a day. Wednesday hit me. It was 52 days of never leaving the property. I don’t count groceries because mankind is far from their best there! On my property I watch the increase in people walking past my house. I have seen more people in the 52 days then in all of three years living here. It paralyzes me, my normal weeks I walk trails and explore by myself and never see a sole. Now how is going out for a walk safer then it was before? So Thursday we made a group decision. We grabbed two big mothers days bouquets drove to the family farms. Door dropped flowers. I saw big open country roads, green winter wheat fields, freshly tilled field, tractors planting and real smiles from parents. And for one day barely seeing a sole felt awesome!

High in the mountains the dye was cast
by our forefathers in the past
vows of eulogy peace were made
in a highland cathedral where the pipers played. Raising a glass with Scottish ancestors past and present tonight.

And sometimes I’m a jeans and white T-shirt; messy bun, drinking while making dinner kind of girl. How was your day?
