Start of week two and they are already bored.   I am so exciting aren't I!!!

These are the lastest things around the school.   My kids have been trying to find them for weeks.   We finally found the right isle at the store and they have been pouring them in water and watching them grow.  You are suppose to put them in with flowers and they keep them upright and water them.

Day 269 - Sickness Starting

Everyone is getting sick except me.  I had better not get this or my surgery is off.  Fevers and coughs ugh.....

Day 268 - Mini Golf

Headed to Orange to watch a movie and play some mini golf on our school holiday.   It was very warm and we should have had our hats.  We all were a little tired after this. 

Day 267 -Cedar Cafe for Lunch

Day two of our term 3 vacation.  Off for lunch at the Cedar Cafe at the local Nursery.  Lovely little spot.

Day 263 - Parkes East Public School Achievement Awards

All my kids got Achievement awards today on the last day of term 3's assembly.   Plus one Wiradjuri award.  Ciara got a silver which means she's collected 10 points this year,   Owen and Hannah have a maroon one which means they have gotten 5.  All smiles around here. 

Day 262 - Counting the days til School Holidays

No one is happy anymore.  It is time for a holiday.  Only two more days and we are off for two weeks.  Yeah!!!

Went with the kids to the bike track with all the hills and jumps that is very close to our house.     If I was 17 I think I would really have tried this out.  Now I have just a tiny bit of fear when I can get up the hill and start going backwards.  Hmm I wonder if after this acl surgery I could start this sport up?  Might have to do some research to see how it is on the knees.

 I'm going to run as fast as I can, fly as high as I can, I am going to soar and if you want you can come with me! But I'm not waiting for you anymore.

Day 248 - School Frolic

Owen's Kindergarten class has a school frolic tonight.  Not really sure what it is exactly but this was the 45 one for the school.   While trying to find a costume for Owen we realized we didn't have many boy dress up things.  Lucky I had bought a shirt like daddy's work on for a photo shot I was planning. So we added it to a mine rescue hat that Eric had still and put a miner's light on and all was good.  I think my favourite halloween costume was Raggedy Anne that my mom made for me.

Day 245 - 1st Swim of the Season

Our crazy Canadian kids think that 25 degrees is time for the pool.  Well the pool isn't that warm yet.   But we are dreaming and hoping still. 

Day 244 - Father's Day in Australia

Father's Day in Australia is September.   While Canada it is June.  Weird.  We didn't do breakfast in bed because everyone wanted waffles and well I burn waffles.  So......
