Cobar Sign

We had a fabulous weekend in Cobar.   Visiting with friends,  talking,  laughing and watching the kids.   It broke my heart to watch all five kids that grew up together for almost 4 years cry and and pout that they couldn't stay together for longer.   I think there is going to be a lot of driving to see each other.  

Green Crops

When we last lived in Australia there had been a long drought.   Coming back it is just amazing to see all the green crops growing.   A little red dirt thrown in but mostly vast green crops for as far as the eye can see.

Road Trip Already!!

Got to Parkes on Wednesday and then headed on the road to Cobar about 3 and a half hours down the road.   We stopped in Trangie for a run around and a meat pie. 

A little Taste of Parkes, NSW

I drove up the highest place in Parkes,   and took this photo of the landscape.   Not the greatest shot but a little taste for everyone that has been very, very curious.

One Light, Many Lamps; One Journey, Many Paths.

We are in Australia now.   Getting ready for our next journey.    Keep tuned there will be more stories after we get some sleep.   All kids in bed and asleep at 6:30pm.   Hoping that they sleep 11 or 12 hours. 

Out in Under 3 Minutes

Got on the plane at 11:45pm.   Owen was given a drink and a chocolate.   Seat belt buckled and take off.   He was asleep before the wheels were fully back into the plane.     First class..... all I can say is the kids slept so much longer then they have ever done before.   Food.....  well..

A day of Waiting and Waiting

So our flight started off an hour late.   Then 6 hours waiting in Vancouver before flying out to Sydney Australia.    A very long long day.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it ...

Outakes

Visiting my favourite Kamloops farm before heading out of Kamloops.    I snapped this too early and missed the eyeballs.    He came running to me after being under the tractor and forage harvester that was being repaired.  

Autumn Colour Has Begun

Fall,   I love this season.   I miss smelling corn silage harvest.   I love the last warm weather days and the colours of oranges and yellows.   Ahh.....  Fall. 

Heaven..... Basket Robbins Ice Cream

Our absolute favourite ice cream.    We lived on it after swimming this summer.    So with a gorgeous 29 degree September day.   We headed for one of our last ice cream runs at Basket Robbins for a while.

Hotel Waterslides

Thank god for hotel waterslides when you are in the middle of a move.   This little number has been saving us when we have no house to go to,  no toys,  and no school.
