The Instigator

8pm rolls around and the pjs, teeth,  homework , etc are all done.   I tell my three school aged children time for bed.   It is quiet.  I get to watch my tv program in peace.   Eric is doing some work in another room.   I think life it good.   I start watching another program and hear some talking.   What????   It's going on 9:45pm what????   Go into the kitchen to inspect and see this........
My husband the instigator.   All of them watching as he called it an educational DVD about copper mining at Rio Tinto.   Hmmmmm and who has to get them up in the morning???

Homework.   I'm not sure they are ever going to like this part of school.

Australia Sun

I was driving home from making the kids do a photo shoot that was in my head.   It has sprinkled a little during the evening and the sun coming down was amazing.   So we raced around trying to find the spot I was hoping for and well..   I couldn't find my way over some back bridges.   I got this before it disappeared completely.   The kids were looking at a rainbow.  

Waiting

This is the bus stop in town.  Yes Parkes has a town bus.   We haven't used it yet but it was fun to pretend we were.    Plus it doesn't run at night.   Just during the day.  

Thank God It's Friday

Warm day and a Friday.   School and work are finished and a dip in the pool with crazy daddy is in order.

Stories and Homework

There is just something about bedtime that most every kid fights.   I had told them to get ready for bed.   Teeth brushed and alone time.   No..... only to find them all in one room and last minute homework getting accomplished!!!   And they wonder why they are tired and cranky in the morning.  

Walking home after school

Walking home after school doesn't seem as much fun when I was a kid.   We used to get dropped off at the top of the lane and then race down the lane to the house.   Maybe just farm kid thing!!!  

First Day on the Bus

Last week was the first week back to school here in NSW.    I took the kids to school the first few days so that everyone knew what classes each other was in to help Owen get off the bus and to the right area.   So Monday was the first day on the school bus with all the kids in the area.    I think they may enjoy it and they were very excited to see who is on their bus route and lives close to them.    The highschool students ride the bus too which is great because I can scope out some after school babysitters if I need them.  

Sunday Morning Breakfast

Sunday morning and daddy cooks.   Yeah!!!   We had pancakes,  bacon, with egg and bacon rolls (for the adults)   It was very tasty eating in the sun.   We finally used the fold up card table with chairs outside.    Still looking for a nice outdoor patio set.  

All Day Gaming.....

Now that we have the game system hooked up and it isn't 40 degrees outside anymore.   They have been doing this on their down time.  

Hair Spray and Sissors

The kids got their hair cut after the first day of school.   Better late then never.
