Day 281 - Birthday Girl
Wow 12 years. Today was the official day. Yesterday was a long weekend before school started back so we decided to have the party then rather then after school.

Day 280 - Birthday Party
Give them water guns and a pool , occasionally some food and you have the best party ever. No work for the parents. We just got to sit in the sun and make sure they were safe.

Day 279 - How Do You Dry Off?
Got home after our weekend away and began to get the pool area ready for Ciara's birthday party the next day. The kids thought they'd test out the pool and after getting out begged Dad to dry them off with the leaf blower. Fun Fun!

Day 278 - Weekend Getaway
Went visiting and stopped through Milthorpe on the way to Orange. Milthorpe reminded me of home. Elora, Fergus, Guelph. Old stone houses, great downtown shops, and little pubs. I wanted to buy a house there and stay. Plus the lilacs were blooming. Lilacs are my favourite flower and every house we ever owned has had a tree. I need to get myself a tree. There was no lilacs in Cobar and that was the only time I felt truly homesick in the spring. Spring for me is always huge lilac bushes on the farm.

We are so exciting around here. Back and forth between fevers and coughs. Daddy's going down as well. Lots of napping, soup and popsicles around this house.

Day 274 - Animal Watching
The birds are getting the cob webs from the corners of the windows, a wallaby with its baby in its pouch sits just over the fence most mornings, and the kookaburras sit on the fence. We have lots of wildlife outside our windows.
